Street Food

Street Food

In Asia street food reigns supreme, the best food isn't found in fancy restaurants but in the carts and stalls lining the busy streets and quiet alleys. Street food is a growing trend in the UK and these dishes celebrate the varied Asian influences. Finger food that can be eaten on the go or made as part of a meal - these dishes are packed full of flavour and leave you craving for the next bite!

Each student will work individually, preparing and making the following items to take home:

  • From Indonesia: Aromatic Ubud Spiced Lamb with Pea & Mint Dressing - lamb delicately spiced with cumin, fennel and juniper, finished with a light fresh dressing and wrapped in a cabbage leaf.
  • From China: Bao Buns with Char Siu Pork & Pickled Vegetables - beautiful light steamed buns filled with sticky succulent BBQ pork and dressed with sharp pickled vegetables.
  • From India: Chana Masala Curry - one of India's popular street foods is the Chana Masala (chickpea curry), medium spiced and flavoured with tea and cardamom.
